What makes a good website? - Content

There used to be a web design saying that went "Content is King"! It was true in 1997 when Nettix first started designing websites when the Internet was still in it's infancy and it's just as true today. Lots of visitors to your site will be disappointed if your site doesn't have the content they are looking for. Content is the thing that will turn browsers into buyers.

If you are a recruitment company - show your visitors your vacancies.

If you are an estate agent - show your visitors your properties.

If you sell juggling balls - have a help forum to teach people how to get started learning how to juggle.

Lots of companies disregard the need for content, to their cost. When was the last time you visited a site and couldn't find what you were looking for? How long did you stick around? The next site is always just a mouse click away, so once you have a visitor to your site you'd better make sure your site is "sticky" enough to keep him or her around long enough to decide that your company is the one they want to do business with.
